The Long HOT Summer

Trying to stay cool and enjoying the kids and grandkids has filled our summer with memories.  Just a few photos to share.  Misty and the boys went to Hot Springs last week, they needed to get away for a couple of days and it really did them the world of good.  Caleb drove the entire time with Misty as his co-pilot.  Seriously she said he did very well.  He is a good boy!!  From a grandmother’s point of view any young man who is 19 and had his license since he was 16 and has not had a speeding ticket or any type of ticket…that’s just WONDERFUL!! I’ll post pictures of their trip later.

Hope thinks watermelon helps her stay cool during this long hot summer.

011A little bit of sidewalk chalk amuses Sunnie and Bradley thinks you can stay cool by playing basketball in 100 degree weather.001The View From Wolfhill really is beautiful this time of year!001     Audrey prefers the air conditioned playroom, and her pink pacifier.001 007Of course this is Hopie’s favorite way to keep cool.  She has amazed us this summer.  She has learned to swim and can go all the way to the bottom and pick up a penny!

A Visit With Aunt Jan

We recently visited my Aunt Jan (my Daddy’s sister) and enjoyed some time with her and her daughter.  Aunt Jan is fighting a terrible disease and we pray she will improve and feel better.  We love her lots and wish she was still able to come visit when we have family dinners.   Maybe soon.  We love you Aunt Jan!!!000_0009 Hope really loves her Aunt Jan…so does Sunnie Kay

We celebrated and enjoyed ourselves…we also remember fondly how much Wade LOVED shooting off fireworks and how he always insisted his boys be safe and really put on a good show for us…
