Merry Christmas From Wolfhill

Wow, this has been a very very busy Christmas Season around here!! In addition to all the wonderful family traditions we have also been so excited and busy getting ready for our trip to China to bring home are sweet daughter Hope. She is waiting for us in Anhui Province, Peoples Republic of China at the Huainan Social Welfare Childrens Institute. We can hardly wait to officially make her part of our family.

Now for a quick rundown of the Holiday activities. On the Sunday before Christmas we all went to Harvest Time, it was a very beautiful Christmas service. We attended the Choir's Christmas program a couple of weeks ago and it was exceptional. We had a good sized Orchestra and Choir. Our new Pastor, Jonathan and his wife Janet were able to be here with us for Christmas and both participated in the service. Janet has a beautiful voice and sang a solo part on Oh Holy Night...I got chills...really beautiful. We are so thankful for our church.

We also attended Sunnie's Christmas Program at school. Now that will really get you into the Christmas Spirit!! Caleb plays JV Basketball as well as filling in on the varsity team from time to time, Bradley and Ben are playing Junior High Basketball so we seem to spend a lot of time in the gym! Tyler is still in elementary school and their games are later in the year.

My Step-Dad was able to spend Christmas with us this year and that was so nice. His power went off during the ice storm in Oklahoma and it was quite a while before power was restored and he just decided to stay for Christmas...that would have really pleased my Mom.

We traditionally have our Christmas together on Christmas Eve...I love Christmas Eve. We are all looking forward to next Christmas when Hope Marie will be with us. It was a little sad knowing she had to spend another Christmas in the orphanage but we were so thankful that we at least had her picture this year. She will be overwhelmed I am sure. Sunnie Kay and Hope received a Chinese Baby Doll for Christmas that is really really cute!! I'll post a picture.

I am so thankful for Jesus. The reason we celebrate this wonderful season. On Christmas Eve when we all sit quietly together and Ronnie reads the story of His birth from the Bible I look around at our precious family and just thank Him for His blessings to us. This year we all thank Him for Hope...

Merry Christmas
